Kindness Of Fate

Nothing to hold on to, nothing to believe in,
I still do not know what World I used to live in.
With my emotions I could not put up a fight,
I woke up crying in the middle of the night.

From the horrors of my former life,
Where fears used to thrive,
I ran away with no regrets,
I did not care about the threats.

No one was there to show me the path,
I chose my own without knowing the aftermath.
I followed a lane to the woods,
It led me far from all known neighborhoods.

It disappeared and left me there,
Though in my heart there was no more despair.
I was free from reality both dark and unfair,
Fate decided me to spare.
